(MUNICIPAL MUSEUM OF LOULÉ)
Dried Fruits Museological Pole
Located in a small factory unit of transformation and commercialization of dried fruits, deactivated in the in the 1990s, this museum tells the story of this economic activity and its importance to Loulé. The products of the Algarve's dryland orchards were of crucial importance to the region's economy until the second half of the 20th century. Nowadays, after a period in which they almost fell into oblivion, traditions are being revived in which these products are the stars and the gastronomy of the Algarve is being reinvented.
