(MUNICIPAL MUSEUM OF LOULÉ)
Museological Pole of Salir
From the top of the old Salir Castle, where the foothills of the Algarve mountains begin, you can see Rocha da Pena, the mythical place to where, according to the legend, the Moors fled when attacked by the troops of D. Paio Peres Correia.
Today, the archaeological excavations of the castle have turned into a museum, allowing us to discover a little of what life was like for those who came before us in this territory.
Monday to Friday: 9am – 1pm and 2pm - 5pm
Closed on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays
