Silves Municipal Archaeology Museum
Organised from the Almohad cistern-well (12th-13th century) and having as its southern wing a section of the Almedina wall (12th century), both classified as national monuments, the museum tells, through the objects it exhibits, the history of the territory of Silves, from prehistory to the 18th century.
It has one of the largest collections of archaeological objects from the Islamic period in the country, mostly from archaeological excavations carried out in the city over several decades of research.
