Ethnographic Heritage
Located about 1 km away from Ameixial, in the heart of the Serra do Caldeirão (mountains). The fountain has a carved stone pediment, ending in a stylised crown. It was built in the 19th century, probably alongside the construction of the road, now the E.N.2. It is said that the spring water, rich in iron, has curative properties, especially for digestive tract diseases. In 2016 a natural pool was inaugurated, contributing to the space being a point of attraction for nature lovers. The park also has picnic tables, barbecues and toilets. The Seiceira Festival is celebrated there on 1 May.
